Don't Forget the Reason Why...

Today, for Memorial Day, I had to work in the early part of the day (10a-5p), so I needed to look professional. I decided to wear dark red skinnies, a blue & white silk tank, with a denim button down opened up. I accessorized with a gold cuff. All of these pieces are Club Monaco items from last Spring. They are all such timeless pieces and I wear them throughout the whole year! The denim button down was a great touch because what says "All-American" more than denim?!

For my make up, i just did a neutral eye with some foundation and a light pink lip! I used Lovelorn by Mac for my lips and a Stila Pallet I got for the holidays that I am still obsessed with!

Now, I am just BBQ-ing with the family and I may go out later. Please remember the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is not about BBQ-ing or partying, it is all about recognizing and remembering those who fought/are fighting for our freedom. Thank you to everyone that is/was a part of the U.S. Military!

Fall Fashion Finds...so far!!

I know that is has been a while since my last post, but I have been non-stop busy since I got back from my vacation! As I have mentioned, I have been doing just a little fall shopping. When I went through what I bought earlier, I realized that I have almost all bottoms...which can be a good thing because I normally have triple the amount of tops of bottoms! Anyway, here is what I have purchased so far.

These two pieces are both part of the September collection for Club Monaco! The Ella Top is an army green and the Elsa Skinny Jeans are a fab tan color! I wore this outfit to work the other day and it was a hit!

This is another fab top from the September Collection from Club Monaco, it is called the  Leigh Sweater. The deep red, blue, and off white are so much fun to match with different colored denim or printed denim (for those more daring)!

These are the Stella Printed Sateen Legging in Snakeskin from Express, when I saw them, I instantly knew I needed them! They are currently on sale for $49.99, so go snatch them while they are still there.

These are my new Free People Corduroy Skinnies in Sangria! I cannot wait to wear these!!

These are a must have for every girl's closet...high waisted jeans! These are black, so they will go with everything and are perfect for days where I feel like I need a little help sucking in my tummy! I got mine from Urban Outfitters.

This is everything that I have bought so far! I can't wait to be back in the city to hit up Zara and some other specialty stores to find those must have pieces! In a few days, look out for my shoe wish list!! I am drooling just thinking about it...have a great rest of your week everyone!

Weekend Fun

Since this is the last weekend before I go to Europe for the next few weeks, I was super super busy! That being said, I did not have a chance to photograph my outfits. Both Friday and Saturday I worked and today I went to the movies and did some shopping with my family. On Saturday I wore a dress that is from Club Monaco (obviously! LOL) called the Jessica Dress. It is a lightweight maxi dress that is uber comfy! Today, I wore Mint Green jeans from Garage and a White Jessica Simpson sweater (a pic is below!) This weekend I bought a two new items for fall, a printed pair of Jessica Simpson jeans and a pair of corduroy skinny jeans from Free People.

My Fashion Diary during July 16 - July 19

I have decided that every Friday morning I will post my fashion diary of what I wore from Monday-Thursday of that week. On Sunday night I will post my weekend fashion. I love putting new and different outfits together, it is artwork to me. When I compare what I wear to work as opposed to what I wear on "fun" days, it is always quite different. Well, anyway here is my diary for this week :) Enjoy!

On Monday I went to Riverside Square in Hackensack, NJ to do some shopping and grab some lunch with my sister and mom. This purple dress reminded me of the color of Barney from when I was little. I am a dress lover so I had to buy it, the dress is from Cotton On. As for my accessories: the belt is old, I am not sure wear I got it; the bracelet is from Club Monaco, it is over two years old; and my shoes are Jessica Simpson, she is one of my idols and I love her collection!
                                            

Tuesday was a work day and this dress from Club Monaco is one of my favorite casual dresses and since the high was near 100, I decided why not wear it to work. My blue ring is from Kim Kardashian's jewelry line called Belle Noel and my bracelet is from Club Monaco as well. I am loving my orange nail polish right now! More on that later.

This was another work day, so the dress is from Club Monaco and that is the same bracelet from the day before, I always have a few hair ties on my wrist just in case. The ring is the same Aldo ring I wore in my Classic Saturday post. After work, I met my friend for sushi and this dress was the perfect dress for BOTH occasions. It was both nice enough for work and chic enough for sushi. To add a little more personality to the dress, a skinny colored belt would be perfect. 

                    

 


Thursday was a busy day, I met one of my best friends fo lunch at Grand Lux then did some shopping with my sister and mom, and then it was off to work. The only problem was that I did not want to get out of bed and do anything, so my solution was this. Dark blue skinny jeans from Club Monaco, a white loose cold shoulder top from Club, and a blue stone necklace from Francesca's Collections. The necklace was the perfect accessory to dress up my outfit.

Classic Saturday

Since I work in retail, my week does not end until Saturday and today for work I decided to go for a classy look. The skirt, top, and bracelet are from Club Monaco; the ring is from Aldo; and my watch is from Michael Kors. The The second I saw this top, I instantly knew I needed to have it, it so so Tory Burch-esque. If you want to dress down the skirt, I recommend a brightly colored t-shirt. I have worn it with a bright t-shirt before, super fun!

An Introduction...

Well hello, everyone! My name is Rebecca and this is my blog "Fash in the City"! I came up with the name because I am a Fashion Merchandising student at LIM College (in Manhattan). I am currently a stylist at Club Monaco and a Social Media intern for Sonja Morgan of the Real Housewives of New York on Bravo; I enjoy everything that I do and it makes me who I am!
