Intern Journal: A Messy, Wet Day in the City

Today was day two at my dream internship and I am continuing to love it! I am being thrown into the brand and I am absorbing every morsel of it. The brand culture is amazing and everyone I work with is so nice. The other interns are also incredibly nice as well; we are all a team!

For day two, I went for a full Jessica Simpson Collection look! I wore a pleated bright pink tank, floral pants with a lime green print, and a white denim jacket. I just wore simple nude Ballet Flats to tone down the brightness of my outfit.

And I got caught in a torrential downpour on my way home..this was the aftermath..

Have a great week everyone :)

Intern Journal: My Dream

I have loved Jessica Simpson since I first heard her song, "With You". I have followed her through her "Newlywed" days as she started to create her growing empire. I got that chance of a lifetime to intern for the Jessica Simpson Dress Collection. G-III Apparel Group owns the license for this collection and it is an honor to work for them.
Today was my first day interning at the Jessica Simpson Dress Collection and I loved every minute of it. Being around a brand that I respect so much meant a lot to me. I will be interning two days a week, Monday and Wednesdays. I cannot wait till Monday!
I wore a dress from Express for my first day, it was the perfect mix of sexy and professional.

Of course I had a little photoshoot to document my happiness when I got home :)
Stayed tuned for my next intern journal!

Don't Forget the Reason Why...

Today, for Memorial Day, I had to work in the early part of the day (10a-5p), so I needed to look professional. I decided to wear dark red skinnies, a blue & white silk tank, with a denim button down opened up. I accessorized with a gold cuff. All of these pieces are Club Monaco items from last Spring. They are all such timeless pieces and I wear them throughout the whole year! The denim button down was a great touch because what says "All-American" more than denim?!

For my make up, i just did a neutral eye with some foundation and a light pink lip! I used Lovelorn by Mac for my lips and a Stila Pallet I got for the holidays that I am still obsessed with!

Now, I am just BBQ-ing with the family and I may go out later. Please remember the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is not about BBQ-ing or partying, it is all about recognizing and remembering those who fought/are fighting for our freedom. Thank you to everyone that is/was a part of the U.S. Military!

What did you wear to celebrate this holiday?! Be safe!

Celeb Way; Your Way: Kim Kardashian's Outfit on "The View"

As everyone knows, Kim Kardashian is one of my fav people and idols! Some may disagree with that, but that is me and those people will have to get over that. Kimmie K was on The View yesterday (September 5) and her outfit was absolutely fab! She was wearing a gorgeous Lanvin red peplum dress and Christian Louboutin red spiked heals.

Later on yesterday, I was walking to work and what was in the window of Aldo?! Red spiked heals. It was fate. I knew I had to post this right away, so here it is. If you loved Kim's look on The View, here is how you can replicate it!

Neil Armstrong Passes Away

Neil Armstrong, known as the first person in the world to set foot on the moon, died earlier today. According to his family, he died of "complications resulting from cardiovascular procedures", at the age of 82. On July 20, 1969; Armstrong made history by becoming the first man on the moon, some may remember that small phrase he said while stepping foot on the moon, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". Armstrong landed on the moon at age 38 after a 250,000 mile, four day trip in the Apollo 11 shuttle. His family and friends are in my prayers and may he rest in peace.
